About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager (QA/QC Specialist) to strengthen a Quality Management team within a large-scale data quality and transformation program in the financial sector.

The program focuses on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of pension administration data as part of the transition to the new pension system. The Quality Management function plays a critical role in safeguarding quality, managing risks, assessing corrective actions, and ensuring that data quality processes are applied in a controlled and demonstrable manner.

As a Quality Manager, you will support the organization, execution, documentation, and reporting of testing and assessment activities across both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, coordinate, and execute QA and QC assessment activities.
  • Plan and perform testing and quality assessment activities in accordance with established processes and standards.
  • Ensure that QA/QC activities and results are accurately documented and recorded.
  • Review findings and identify quality or process-related risks.
  • Consult and collaborate with different teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Align findings and observations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports on assessment outcomes.
  • Monitor the follow-up of findings and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance and control processes.
  • Challenge processes and outcomes where necessary to ensure quality and risk controls are maintained.
  • Support the application and evaluation of data quality frameworks.

Requirements

  • Completed relevant HBO or WO-level education.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience performing and documenting testing activities in a quality-assurance environment.
  • Experience in quality management, audit, risk management, QA, or QC.
  • Experience working within the financial sector in a comparable role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across different teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in audit or risk management.
  • RA or RC qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience within the pension industry.
  • Experience with data quality programs or data quality frameworks.
  • Experience working in complex transformation or regulatory environments.

  • Travel to Heerlen is required every other Thursday.
  • The role requires a significant level of travel, potentially 50% or more depending on business requirements.

Contract Details

  • Initial contract duration: 12 months.
  • Possible extension depending on project requirements and performance.
  • Freelance/contractor engagement may be considered, subject to the applicable engagement structure.
