As a Quality Senior Specialist - QA Engineering, you will play a critical role in supporting Subsea Projects & Services manufacturing and quality activities across the APAC region. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering and quality organization, you will contribute to the successful execution of subsea projects by ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and company quality expectations.
In this role, you will support manufacturing, fabrication, supplier quality, and inspection activities while helping drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, Quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure products and services meet the highest quality standards.
As a Quality Senior Specialist - QA Engineering, you will be responsible for:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of NDE and quality engineering activities, including but not limited to:
Provide technical authority and governance as the designated NDE Level III in accordance with applicable industry standards and company requirements.
Review and approve NDT procedures, techniques, and inspection methods, including UT, PAUT, TOFD, RT, MPI, PT, and VT.
Support qualification, implementation, and continuous improvement of advanced ultrasonic inspection technologies, with particular emphasis on PAUT applications.
Review client specifications, project requirements, applicable international standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure inspection compliance.
Develop and maintain NDE strategies, inspection philosophies, and project-specific quality plans.
Support tendering activities through technical input, risk assessments, inspection scope development, and customer engagement.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly operations across APAC facilities and suppliers.
Review and approve supplier and subcontractor NDE capabilities, procedures, personnel qualifications, and compliance documentation.
Lead technical investigations of NDE-related non-conformances, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
Interface directly with customers, third-party inspectors, and certification authorities on inspection-related matters.
Support audit activities, supplier assessments, and quality surveillance programs.
Deliver technical mentoring and training to Level I and Level II personnel and contribute to competency development programs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection effectiveness, digitalization, quality performance, and operational excellence.
Support standardization of NDE practices across regional and global operations.
To be successful in this role you will:
Minimum 10 years of experience in NDE/NDT, inspection engineering, or quality engineering withing oil & gas, subsea, offshore, energy or heavy manufacturing industries.
Minimum 5 years of experience functioning as an NDE Level III or equivalent authority with responsibility for procedure approval, technical governance, and personnel qualification.
Certified NDE/NDT Level III in accordance with ISO 9712, ASNT, or equivalent recognized certification scheme.
Significant experience within the oil and gas, subsea, offshore, energy, or heavy manufacturing industries.
Demonstrated expertise in advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques, particularly PAUT.
Strong understanding of welding processes, fabrication methods, and associated inspection requirements.
Experience reviewing and approving NDT procedures, qualifications, and inspection reports.
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards governing NDE activities.
Experience supporting manufacturing and supplier quality activities in a project-driven environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide technical leadership across concurrent projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Candidates should demonstrate working knowledge of applicable industry standards, including:
ASME Section V, VIII and IX
API 6A, 17D, 17F and related subsea specifications
DNV standards and recommended practices
ISO 9712
ISO 17635, ISO 13588 and associated NDT standards
AWS and CSWIP guidance where applicable
NORSOK M-101 and relevant fabrication standards
