Quality Strategy/Transformation Lead, London

The Quality Strategy / Transformation Lead will play a critical role in defining and driving the quality strategy, governance framework, and operating model for a large-scale commercial banking transformation programme.
Working closely with senior client stakeholders, programme leadership, engineering teams, and delivery partners, you will provide programme-level quality leadership, helping establish consistent quality standards, risk management practices, and governance processes across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the quality strategy, governance framework, and operating model across a large-scale commercial banking transformation programme.
  • Partner with programme leadership, senior client stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery partners to align quality objectives with business priorities.
  • Establish quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance processes that provide executive visibility into programme quality and delivery risk.
  • Drive consistency in quality engineering practices, standards, and controls across multiple teams, vendors, and workstreams.
  • Lead programme-level quality reviews, risk assessments, and readiness evaluations, providing recommendations to stakeholders on key delivery decisions.
  • Identify and manage quality, operational, and delivery risks, ensuring effective mitigation plans are in place.
  • Support the development and evolution of the programme quality roadmap, operating model, and governance structure.
  • Mentor and support quality leaders across the programme while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience within Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Quality Leadership roles.
• Proven experience defining and implementing quality strategies, governance frameworks, operating models, or transformation initiatives within complex delivery environments.
• Demonstrated programme-level leadership experience across large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior business and technology leaders.
• Experience establishing quality metrics, reporting frameworks, governance processes, and risk management practices.
• Experience coordinating quality outcomes across multiple delivery teams, vendors, and workstreams.
• Experience working within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of modern quality engineering principles and how quality practices support successful programme delivery.
