Quality System Manager

The Quality System Manager will lead the Quality Management System strategy, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across ISDO. The role partners with R&D, NPI, Manufacturing Operations, Product Completion Center, and external manufacturing partners to strengthen quality processes, drive audit readiness, improve quality insights, and build organizational quality capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QMS governance and improvement across ISDO, including quality processes, governance forums, retrospectives, and continuous improvement actions.

  • Ensure consistent application of quality processes across customer segments, product lines, engineering, operations, production groups, and manufacturing partners.

  • Manage quality performance insights, including KPI scorecards, data collection, trend analysis, and cross-functional quality reporting.

  • Partner with teams during PDP and change management to ensure quality standards, customer requirements, and ISDO-wide expectations are met.

  • Provide quality risk expertise to help teams evaluate decisions, identify risks early, and strengthen preventive quality controls.

  • Drive effective issue resolution, including escalation closure, root cause analysis, corrective actions, follow-up completion, and customer assurance alignment.

  • Own the audit strategy and execution plan, including audit scope, schedule, resource planning, auditor assignment, guideline adherence, and follow-up action closure.

  • Build quality capability across the organization through training, best-practice sharing, knowledge management, and coaching.

  • Develop and implement quality tools and analytics to support data-driven decision-making, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements/Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies, and operational environments.

  • Practical experience with Quality Management Systems and QMS audits.

  • Experience driving closure of quality incidents using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, Corrective Action Reports, CAPA, or Robust Problem Solving.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across functions, manage multiple priorities, and influence continuous improvement culture.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as ASQ CQE, CQM/OE, CQA, SSGB, or equivalent.

  • Experience working with external manufacturing partners or outsourced manufacturing environments.

  • Experience developing quality dashboards, scorecards, audit systems, or quality analytics tools.
