Quality Systems and Digital Solutions Specialist
This role is responsible for the development, enhancement, and continuous improvement of business systems that support Quality Management and operational excellence initiatives. The role partners with stakeholders across the organization to identify business needs, gather and document requirements, develop digital solutions, and deliver projects that improve process efficiency, data quality, and business performance.
The position leads and supports system development initiatives using technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Excel, and other business applications. The Specialist manages projects from concept through implementation, acts as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders, and provides ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of business systems and workflows.
The role requires a degree of independence, stakeholder engagement, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business applications, workflows, and automation solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, and related technologies.
- Provide application support, user training, testing coordination, and change management activities for implemented solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by working directly with stakeholders across departments to understand needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop business cases, project proposals, and solution recommendations, ensuring appropriate review, stakeholder alignment, and approval prior to implementation.
- Manage and coordinate projects, including planning, tracking deliverables, managing risks, facilitating meetings, and communicating project progress to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes, eliminate waste, improve data quality, and enhance user experience.
- Develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and data visualizations to support data-driven decision-making and business performance monitoring.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Change management and/or PMP is an asset.
- 3–5 years of experience in business systems development, process improvement, project management, or a related role.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 is considered an asset.
- Exposure to or certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel, Power Apps, and Power Automate expertise.
- Experience in business requirements gathering, process improvement, and problem-solving.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops, manage priorities, and drive solutions to completion.
