Quality Technician (24154)
Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will work with Operations, Quality and Engineering to continuously improve quality performance while ensuring compliance to quality standards. This role performs a variety of quality control inspections/test on assemblies, components and product at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional and visual acceptance inspection of in-process and completed PCBA and electro-mechanical assemblies to drawings, specifications, work instructions and routing sheets.
- Identify and investigate out of specification situations to determine root cause.
- Make recommendations for improving processes, technical documents, equipment and/or train operators.
- Conduct any required special testing, failure analysis, validations, etc.
- Troubleshoot returned merchandise from customers (RMAs).
- Responsible for the maintenance and coordination of the material review board (MRB)
- Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of established metrics
- Documentation: develop and maintain all appropriate and required Level documents, i.e., checklist, work instructions, logs, etc.
- Inspection: Perform inspection of sub-assemblies, periodic in-process checks, and final inspections, using internal drawings, schematics and quality inspections tools.
- Non-conformance: Initiate and process documentation and related activities associated with non-conforming material and/or product with process and quality engineers.
- Corrective Action: Initiate and process of documentation and related activities associated with internal and external corrective action, preventative actions.
- Audits: Support internal and external (registrar and customer) audits as required.
- Quality Liaison: Interface with customer, vendors and auditors as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
