Quality Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Quality Technician - 3rd Shift at our Mooresville, North Carolina facility. In this role, you will inspect in-process and finished products, perform quality testing, analyze inspection data, and support corrective action and continuous improvement.

  • Location: Mooresville, NC

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, 9:45 PM-6:00 AM

  • Pay: $19-$22/hour, depending on skills and experience

  • Other Compensation: 4% shift premium

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

What You'll Do as a Quality Technician

  • Inspect in-process and finished products to verify compliance with work instructions, specifications, and established quality standards.

  • Perform first-piece inspections and conduct visual, mechanical, and functional tests using appropriate tools and gaging instruments.

  • Accurately document inspection results and statistical data, enter information into quality management systems, and assist with reports that track quality and production performance.

  • Analyze inspection data and summarize findings to identify defects, non-conformances, deviations, and potential root causes; collaborate with other teams on corrective actions.

  • Assist with developing, writing, and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists to reflect quality requirements and best practices.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and product reliability.

  • Perform internal audits, verify adherence to quality processes and procedures, and escalate quality concerns with clear supporting documentation when needed.

  • Maintain accurate quality records, follow applicable industry regulations and company safety, environmental, and quality policies, and maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to address complex issues and problems.

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant quality inspection subject matter.

  • This role requires standing for extended periods.

  • Employees in this role frequently bend and stoop.

  • The position requires the dexterity to handle small objects.

  • This role involves working in a noisy environment.
