Quality Technician
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Quality
Planning
- Supports in standardizing processes through creation of work instructions, Test methods, Product
specifications of products. Qualification plans.
- Understand BRCGS and ISO 9001, ISo14001,
ISo45001 standard requirements and supports in implementation of system.
- As a member of Food Safety team, involve in
updating Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment.
- Review supplier performance on monthly basis,
communicate with supplier.
- Coordinate with suppliers on quality concerns
and CAPA
- Performs internal audits as per audit
schedule and follow up on CAPA.
- On regular basis review latest product
specifications and update the required changes in Quality Plan and Test
Methods, COA templates.
- On quarterly basis review and update mold
& product health report.
- Records customer complaints and coordinates
with inter-departments in analyzing RCA and taking necessary CAPA.
- On monthly basis provide lab measuring
equipment’s health report
- Monitor calibration status of equipment and
coordinate required calibration activities in coordination with supplier.
- Monitor and perform required migration
reports and microbiological tests.
· Quality Control
- Involves in product or raw material approval
processes with suppliers. Prepare and maintain trial reports for all incoming
materials.
- Performs Incoming material inspection and
updating records in the system.
- Perform inspection on approved product as per
quality plan and prepare inspection report, using lab equipment.
- Prepare COA for every batch before shipping the
item.
- Perform
adhoc product inspections as instructed by head of the department
- Record all incidents and follow up on CAPA
- Perform periodic microbiological swab tests
on identified areas.
- Conducts evaluation of machine capability
studies and maintains records of findings.
· Quality Improvements
- UnderstandSupports ongoing quality reviews of the final product developed with design reviews and customer quality checklists.
- Participates in project meetings and shares
reports on quality related items.
- Monitor and report regular updates to internal
and external stake holders on the progress of process
development/improvements/enhancement projects including understanding the
risks, dependencies, critical milestones and forthcoming actions necessary to
ensure success
- Maintain log for Major changes that would
affect product or process quality.
- Provides training to operation team and
selected topics
- Support the operations team to explore all
options for improvement in manufacturing capacity, productivity, and cost
reductions, utilizing lean and Six Sigma approaches, best practice
identification, with focused improvement activities.
- Define, develop and publish business
improvement process documentation to reflect best practice.
· Other Responsibilities
- Attend
and participate in meetings, planning, operational review, training and other
programs or activity as may be directed by the head of department.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food
Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management
System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority.
- Ensure
that all project related documents and records are fully up to date and that
both record and product traceability and retrieval is upheld at all times and
that all processes, procedures & activities comply with ISO and management
procedures.
- Actively
monitors industry trends, equipment and process innovations, and emerging
technologies and creates initiatives to capitalize on new opportunities.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in
trade shows and educational opportunities; reading professional publications;
maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Undertake
any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager and Business Heads.
Requirements
Education/ Qualifications
· Diploma in engineering preferably Chemical.
Experience
· 0-1
years of experience in Packaging / Manufacturing processes and technologies.
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
· Knowledge in process improvement initiatives
using the latest technology, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
programs.
· Knowledge of Quality systems and procedures
· Project Management certifications and
expertise.
· Analytical and data interrogation skills.
· Problem solving capability
· Knowledge of ERP systems an advantage.
