Quanity Surveyor - MEP
The Quantity Surveyor – MEP is responsible for managing all costs related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and final account settlements, ensuring value for money while maintaining the required standards and quality.
- Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ) based on drawings and specifications.
- Evaluate and analyze tender submissions and prepare tender documentation.
- Conduct cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in negotiation and contract preparation.
- Manage contract variations, change orders, and claims.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Provide commercial advice on MEP works to the project team.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
