Overview

As Quant DevOps Engineer, you own the application execution platform, cloud infrastructure, and data runtime environment for engineering and modeling workloads. You ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across large, data-intensive systems such as Databricks clusters and high-memory configs. You serve as a central technical interface among engineering, IT, security, and data users, influencing delivery speed and platform stability. This senior role aligns with SCOR’s risk-focused mission and collaborative culture, offering meaningful impact on platform evolution and operational excellence.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Own end-to-end delivery of the application execution platform and production model runs (Databricks, Servers)
  • Manage Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, storage, IAM) and networking (firewalls, peering, cross-subscription connectivity)
  • Lead standardization with central teams on observability, security controls, platform services, and golden paths
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; automate tooling and improve pipeline performance
  • Oversee Docker image creation, lifecycle, and governance; optimize builds and container security
  • Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management (SaltStack) to reduce drift
  • Operate observability platforms (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana); ensure metrics, logs, dashboards, alerts
  • Collaborate with Security/SecOps on controls and findings; manage secrets and security tooling (Wiz, Snyk)
  • Support Databricks usage for application workloads; participate in capacity planning for large clusters and memory-intensive data pipelines
  • Act as senior escalation point for incidents; participate in on-call rotation; drive post-incident reviews and improvements
  • Coordinate with IT Operations, Security, Architecture, and governance bodies; support customer-facing technical discussions

  • Background in Insurance, Finance, or Scientific/High-Performance Computing environments
  • Strong platform or DevOps engineering experience in production environments
