Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements.
  • Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and material pricing.
  • Prepare cost comparisons and assist in pricing tender submissions.
  • Support the preparation of technical and commercial tender documents.
  • Assist in value engineering and propose cost-saving solutions where suitable.
  • Identify project cost risks and propose practical mitigation measures.
  • Ensure tender submissions comply with contract, legal, and project requirements.
  • Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required.
  • Maintain updated cost records, supplier quotations, price lists, and market rates.
  • Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and project teams.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Good knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, and tendering procedures.
  • Familiar with construction methods, contracts, and industry practices.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Able to work accurately with good attention to detail.
  • Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Quantity Surveying / estimation software will be an advantage.
