Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly cost reports, analyse cost variances, and provide detailed justifications for deviations from budgeted and forecasted figures.
- Monitor project costs and assess potential financial impacts based on project progress, requirements, and changes.
- Review and ensure accurate allocation of project costs and payments to the appropriate work items and cost codes.
- Coordinate with site teams during monthly cost closing activities and verify project expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and control site expenses to ensure adherence to approved project budgets.
- Source quotations, prepare tender comparison analyses, and support the evaluation of subcontractor and supplier submissions.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, either manually or using measurement software, and prepare detailed quantity calculations.
- Monitor, assess, and manage variation orders, including evaluating cost implications and profitability impacts.
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and final settlement of subcontractor accounts.
- Liaise closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on cost-related matters to facilitate effective project execution and financial control.
