Quantity Surveyor (Electrical / M&E)

Summary:

Julian Grey’s client is an established engineering company specialising in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, monitor costs and advise on the cost impact of project changes.
• Source contractor and subcontractor quotations and compare prices.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender and contract documents.
• Submit and follow up on progress claims and prepare monthly cost reports.
• Assess completed work, subcontractor claims and interim valuations.
• Measure, price and coordinate agreement of contract variations.
• Assist in final account preparation and settlement.
• Maintain project records, comply with ISO documentation requirements and handle other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Relevant educational background in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant quantity surveying experience.
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects would be an advantage.
• Familiar with tendering, cost control and contract administration, with the ability to assess claims, negotiate terms and communicate with project stakeholders.
