Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, calculate material quantities, and set budgets for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring all parties meet their obligations and variations are properly documented.
- Project Monitoring: Track project progress, verify completed work, and prepare progress reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze project profitability, identify potential savings, and advise on cost-effective strategies.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, prepare method statements, and identify potential financial or construction risks.
- Collaboration: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and site managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Procurement and Tendering: Assist in procurement processes, tender preparation, and evaluation of bids.
- Lifecycle Costing: Provide advice on long-term maintenance costs and economic appraisal of projects.
