Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor / HDB / Building / A&A Projects)

Our client is an established BCA-registered General Builder with ongoing HDB upgrading, building and A&A projects in Singapore.

They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project cost control, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, Variation Orders and final accounts.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, claims and payments.
• Manage subcontract procurement, comparison and negotiation.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks or cost overruns.
• Review contracts and support contractual administration and claims.
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams on cost and commercial matters.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors on claims, variations and account settlement.
• Maintain proper records for claims, contractual correspondence and project costs.
• Support tender costing and pre-contract activities where required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in Singapore.
• Experience with a Main Contractor / General Builder is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with experience in HDB upgrading, Lift Upgrading, MSCP, A&A or public-sector building projects will have an advantage.
• Good experience in progress claims, VO, subcontract management, cost control and final accounts.
• Familiarity with PSSCOC, SIA contracts and Singapore construction practices will be advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, commercial and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
