Quantity surveyor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Calculate comprehensive quantity take-off of structural, civil, and externals.

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.

• Assist the Project Manager in the reconciliation & certification of final bills of contractors, suppliers, vendors, and consultants of the project.

• Forecasting the cost of different materials needed for the project.

• Track changes in the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.

• Engage in claims discussions.

• Updating anticipated contract value.

• Maximizing entitlements & recovery of claimable costs incurred.

• Visiting the site periodically to view progress & possible variations.

• Costing of variations & new rates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer or equivalent.

• At least 5years of relative work experience.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
