Rogers Group is seeking a Groundman/Maintenance Person for our quarry operation located in Madisonville, TN.
- Perform general labor and maintenance duties throughout the quarry and processing plant.
- Conduct routine inspections of crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, bearings, and other plant equipment.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
- Lubricate, adjust, replace, and maintain plant components as directed.
- Clean material buildup from conveyors, crushers, screens, catwalks, and work areas.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and installation projects as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment issues to maintenance supervisors.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance outages.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
- Work safely around moving equipment, heavy machinery, and production processes.
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
- Ability to inspect and identify equipment wear or repair needs.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn quarry plant operations and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in quarry, aggregate, construction, industrial maintenance, or mechanical repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
