Quartz Fabricator/Machine Operator

Position Role: The Quartz Fabricator/Machine Operator is responsible for fabricating and assembling quartz components from provided drawings and specifications while maintaining high-quality standards in all fabrication processes. The Quartz Fabricator/Machine Operator must operate CNC equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments, and work safely and effectively as part of the shop team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines, including loading tooling into machines.
• Fabricate components based on provided drawings and specifications.
• Assemble parts in accordance with provided drawings.
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes and standards.
• Operate hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers.
• Rig materials and components safely for transport within the facility.
• Maintain forklift certification and operate forklifts to move materials as needed.
• Follow instructions accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Communicate and work effectively with the shop team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Follow silica dust safety procedures, including wet cutting methods and respirator use.
• Lift at least 50 pounds independently.
• Stand for extended periods in a shop environment with noise and dust.
• Other duties as assigned.
