The Role:

The Quoting Manager is responsible for costing all new business and changes to existing business for all customers in addition to the maintenance of all Bill of Materials, Labor Routers and Electronic Document Control System. Participate in sourcing and pricing of all new or inactive raw materials found on parts being costed. Provide back-up on tooling/equipment estimates to manufacturing plants and support to the Design Engineering as required.

This position will report to the Vice Presidient of Sales - MRG.

This role is located on-site at the MRG facility in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead/train team responsible for all aspects related to costing of product.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of team tasks.
• Ensure correct interpretation of customer drawings in order to generate costed bills of materials, cross-referencing to the ECI raw material item numbers.
• Review labor routers for parts being costed. Where required labor elements do not exist, ensure estimated standard rates are correct.
• Review detailed assumption lists to clarify any ambiguous drawing interpretations at costing and to note any material substitutions made.
• Review all parts being costed for accuracy and to find potential cost-reducing design changes. Depth of review to be dependent on value of line item being costed and urgency of request.
• Manage all open quote requests to ensure that costing review is completed on time.
• Provide back-up engineering support to design engineering group as required.
• Provide back-up tooling/equipment estimates to manufacturing plants where required.
• Review all internal ECN’s submitted by manufacturing plants, consulting with Design Engineering as required. Approve ECN’s as warranted to reduce costs, meet print requirements, and/or meet BPCS part structure requirements.
• Set-up and maintain quote tracker documentation for all new business quote requests.
• Present final quotes of management.
• Travel to multiple locations as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills:

• BA Engineering or Business degree preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years material cost experience within a wire harness or electrical systems environment.
• Ability to interpret product drawings in order to review bills of material and labor routers.
• Strong communications and leadership skills to manage direct reports at various locations.
• Good understanding of regulatory agency requirements and environmental compliance legislations
• Excellent computer skills
• Understanding of ISO-9001 & AS9100D requirements related to job responsibilities
