R&D Finance Analyst
Review and
validate the financial components of R&D tax incentive applications,
ensuring that all claimed R&D costs are correctly documented and meet the
program’s eligibility requirements prior to final certification.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the financial
information provided in R&D tax incentive applications, focusing on
costs that are eligible for tax deduction under the program.
- Verify cost allocations (e.g.
salaries, equipment, contractor services) to ensure they meet the
incentive scheme’s eligibility criteria.
- Analyze system-generated budget
flags and investigate any financial inconsistencies or anomalies in
submissions.
- Liaise with R&D technical
specialists to ensure consistency between the technical descriptions and
the financial data provided in applications.
- Assist in refining financial
evaluation templates and the decision rules within the AI platform to
improve accuracy and consistency in financial assessments.
Requirements
Qualifications
& Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- 4–6 years of experience in
financial analysis or auditing, preferably within a government or
public-sector context.
- Familiarity with tax accounting
and public incentive programs is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong financial data analysis
skills and attention to numerical detail.
- Proficiency with budgeting and
cost-tracking tools or software.
- Ability to interpret
financial statements and identify red flags or irregularities
