The job
As part of your role, you will be developing and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of AVEVA Unified Engineering [E3D Design]. Working closely with experienced engineers, developers, and testers, you will contribute to automation framework improvements, execute test activities, and help identify software issues. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll have opportunities to learn new technologies, grow your technical skills, and play an important role in delivering high-quality products that provide great experience for customers.
Key responsibilities
Develop, run, and maintain automated tests to validate application functionality and quality
Participate in requirement and design reviews and create effective test cases to ensure adequate test coverage
Support the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks under the guidance of senior team members
Identify, report, and track software defects, working closely with developers to validate fixes and improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support quality assurance activities, and contribute to timely project delivery
Essential requirements
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages used for automation (e.g., C#, Python)
Ability to create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and an interest in learning and enhancing automation practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with developers, testers, and stake holders
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage assigned tasks independently while contributing positively to team goals and project success
Desired skills and competencies
Have minimum of 3 years’ experience in software testing or test automation within a collaborative project environment
Good understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test case design, defect management, and quality assurance processes
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, or similar, with the ability to develop and maintain automated tests
Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks for desktop, or web.
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
Willingness to learn new technologies, automation tools, and testing methodologies
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, testers, and other stakeholders
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices and participation in Agile teams is desirable

Hybrid working
