R&D Specialist - Automotive and Transport Sector
Summary
R&D Specialist in an automotive laboratory conducting testing and consultancy services for automotive sector clients, preparing technical reports, and participating in research projects as part of research groups or as Principal Investigator, working with polymer and composite materials.
We are looking for a person to join our Automotive Laboratory, within the area of Laboratories.
What you will do:
Participation in projects (preparation and execution) as a member of research groups or as Principal Investigator.
Providing testing and consultancy services to external and internal clients in the automotive and transport sector. Preparation and/or review of technical reports of results.
Participation in internal and external audits.
Identifying and proposing equipment needs: Searching for and selecting new equipment and/or accessories according to needs and possibilities.
Visiting relevant clients for AIMPLAS related to the sector.
Participate in dissemination activities: technical conferences, congresses, informative articles in sector bulletins and magazines, etc.
Participate in training activities related to their knowledge.
Strong analytical skills, organizational and planning abilities, initiative, creativity, leadership, flexibility, adaptability to change, customer orientation, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to people (cooperation and empathy) are qualities we seek in every role at AIMPLAS.
A demonstrable high level of English and an intermediate level of Spanish are required.
Availability to travel occasionally.
Valid Category B driving licence.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Polymer and Composite Materials Technologies will be highly valued.
A Master's degree or PhD in Plastics Materials, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline will also be considered an asset.
Experience:
Experience in the following areas:
• Quality control within the automotive sector.
• Knowledge of automotive testing procedures and laboratory practices.
• Knowledge of quality management systems applicable to the automotive industry.
• Experience in preparing R&D&I project proposals for public funding programmes will be considered an asset.
