Description

Magna Forge and Magna Foundry are the hardware product lines that underpin the Magna AI Platform — Forge delivers AI data center infrastructure, and Foundry delivers AI-factory appliances and edge systems deployed into production environments.

The Supply Chain Manager owns the ODM/OEM vendor network that underpins Magna Forge and Magna Foundry. The role sits within the Magna Platform organization, driving the vendor agenda and owning outcomes while partnering with Legal on contracts and Platform leadership on product and commercial direction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Own the ODM/OEM relationship portfolio across Forge and Foundry, from initial qualification through ongoing partnership governance.
  • Build a resilient, geographically redundant supplier base and run regular business reviews (QBRs, scorecards) tracking performance against agreed KPIs.

2. Sourcing, Pricing & Commercial Strategy

  • Drive sourcing strategy across servers, storage, networking, GPU systems, and AI-factory subsystems aligned to the Forge/Foundry SKU roadmap.
  • Lead pricing negotiations on volume tiers, NRE, and BOM/landed cost; model cost trajectories across product generations to inform platform pricing and SKU planning.

3. Design Requirements & Technical Coordination

  • Translate platform, AIDC field, and customer requirements into ODM/OEM design specifications, tender responses, and ready-to-sell SKUs.
  • Coordinate hardware design reviews with vendor engineering teams; manage ECOs, qualification cycles, and design hand-offs across the product lifecycle.

4. Supply, Lead Time & Delivery Execution

  • Own supply commit and lead-time visibility across the partner network; surface risks early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Maintain delivery dashboards as a single source of truth on supply health for platform and exec stakeholders.

5. Contracts, Terms & Negotiation

  • Lead negotiation of master agreements, SOWs, and renewals with ODM/OEM partners, supported by Legal.
  • Define and track commercial terms covering pricing, lead times, SLAs, IP boundaries, warranty, and exit provisions.

6. Maintenance, Support & Lifecycle

  • Govern post-deployment vendor support — RMA flows, spares, field support, and escalation paths.
  • Manage NPI, sustaining, and EOL transitions in coordination with platform PM and the AIDC Practice Owner, ensuring quality and compliance gates are met.

7. Margin Analysis & Commercial Insight

  • Own margin analysis across Forge and Foundry SKUs — BOM cost, landed cost, channel margin, and deal economics — surfacing insights that drive pricing and SKU decisions.
  • Identify margin levers via vendor consolidation, component substitution, and volume aggregation; provide deal-level support on major tenders with Finance and the AIDC Practice Owner.

8. Strategic Roadmap & Silicon Vendor Alignment

  • Maintain a rolling 18-month to 3-year hardware roadmap for Forge and Foundry, aligned to platform strategy and customer demand signals.
  • Engage directly with silicon vendors (NVIDIA, Broadcom, Intel, AMD) to align Magna's roadmap with generational releases and ensure next-gen SKUs are anticipated and sourced ahead of demand.

9. Cross-Functional Quarterbacking

  • Act as the single point of accountability for hardware supply chain across Forge and Foundry.
  • Partner with Legal on contract structuring, Platform VP on strategic direction, AIDC Practice Owner on field requirements, and the software/platform-services team to keep hardware decisions aligned with product strategy.
