Radio Frequency and Transmission Manager

Salary: RM 6,250 – RM 8,750 per month

Main purpose:
To lead the Radio Frequency engineering team in ensuring good network coverage, capacity, quality and customer experience, while meeting rollout targets, technical standards and project budgets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Radio Frequency Network Planning

• Lead 2G/3G/4G/5G Radio Frequency planning and design.

• Plan new sites, upgrades, expansions and capacity requirements.

• Analyse coverage and capacity requirements.

• Review propagation studies and Radio Frequency predictions.

• Determine antenna configuration, azimuth, tilt, height and other Radio Frequency parameters.

2. Radio Frequency Optimisation

• Monitor network performance and identify coverage or capacity problems.

• Analyse drive-test and network-performance data.

• Resolve issues such as:

  • Poor coverage

  • Interference

  • Dropped calls

  • Low throughput

  • Poor 5G performance

  • Handover problems

• Implement optimisation measures and monitor their results.

3. 5G Rollout

• Manage RF requirements for new 5G sites and network upgrades.

• Coordinate spectrum, carrier configuration and Radio Frequency parameters.

• Work with vendors and infrastructure teams during deployment.

• Ensure sites are integrated and optimised after commissioning.
