Our dedication to accelerating AI underscores our mission to enrich the future of humanity.

We are seeking a customer-facing Radio System Engineer to own RF performance for wireless products across the full product lifecycle—from early planning through factory ramp, performance tuning, and field trials. You will act as the technical point of contact for validation, algorithm, software, and regulatory teams, analyzing, debugging, and resolving issues quickly.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on RF/system engineer with strong Design of Experiments (DoE) skills, who can drive issues from symptom to root cause and verified solution. The work will cover cellular (4G/5G) and connectivity (Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth) radio systems, including RF front‑end and transceiver behavior, calibration, and 3GPP/IEEE conformance.

Key Responsibilities
Support engineering issues across the entire product lifecycle: planning, factory, performance, and field trials.
Design, coordinate, and conduct experiments for issue analysis and solution verification.
Design, bring up, and troubleshoot RF measurement setups.
Lead issue debugging, tuning, and optimization to meet performance and conformance targets.
Collect, analyze, and report DoE findings with clear root‑cause conclusions and recommendations.
Partner with validation teams on test plans, reproduction, and verification.
Collaborate with algorithm and software teams to debug at the system level.
Work with regulatory teams to ensure designs and tuning comply with regional requirements (e.g., FCC, CE) and 3GPP/IEEE conformance standards.
Document findings and share lessons learned so that fixes and improvements carry over to future products.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of industry experience in RF / radio system engineering.
Strong Design of Experiments (DoE) skills: planning experiments, controlling variables, analyzing results statistically, and drawing actionable conclusions.
Experience with 4G/5G cellular and/or Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth radio systems.
Solid understanding of RF fundamentals and impairments: link budget, linearity, noise, spurious emissions, harmonics, and intermodulation.
Experience with 3GPP or IEEE conformance test standards.
Proficiency with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum/signal analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, 5G/cellular testers).
Skills in test automation, data processing, and analysis.
Proven ability to debug complex issues across hardware, software, and system boundaries and drive them to verified closure.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience supporting customers or field trials and handling issues from design through mass production.
Experience with Envelope Tracking (ET), Digital Pre‑Distortion (DPD), and PA linearity (AM‑AM / AM‑PM).
Familiarity with regulatory certification (FCC, CE) and RF exposure/emissions requirements.
Experience with modem‑level debugging, logs and traces, and automated test frameworks or data‑analysis pipelines.
Experience using AI‑assisted tools to accelerate log analysis, KPI review, and reporting.
Salary range: $111,000-$193,850 annually
Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short- and long-term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. In addition, MediaTek provides a variety of benefits including comprehensive health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays, Sick Leave, Vacation time, Parental leave, 401K and more.
