RADIOGRAPHER, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES
Job Description:
- To implement the policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Department in liaison with the management
- To ensure that day to day operations are carried out efficiently, thus ensuring quality services is provided to patients
- To assist the Radiographer in Charge to maintain and take cares the X-ray equipment and their accessories and other machines in the department
- To assist in the daily operational and administration of the department in liaison with the Radiographer in charge
- To assist the Radiographer in charge to supervised, train and orientate other radiographers and lower categories of staff
- To take good quality radiographs and to keep low radiation dose to patients
- To provide highest quality of patient care at all times to internal and external customers
- To ensure tidiness, cleanness and hygienic measures to prevent cross infection in the department are maintained at all times
- To do the overtime and other duties as designated by the Radiographer in Charge
- To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
- To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;
- To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer;
- To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health
- Initiate corrective action on complaints or non-conformance’s and proposed new developments to improve quality
- Ensure that they are well verse with the equipment and its’ operations by referring always to the equipment’s operational manual or other senior.
- To ensure daily operational service to patient is delivered efficiently
- To help the implementation of training programmed set by Radiographer in charge
- Ensure that repeat X-rays are kept to the minimum and reduced radiation dose to patient
- To provide polite, gentle, comfort and friendly service
- Ensure hygienic measures are followed by involving staff to suspected infectious procedures
- Compliance with the instructions given
- Responsible and accountable to carry out duties as in the occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994
- To maintain good inventory control at all time (such as stock availability, par level, short expiry)
- To ensure security/cleanliness of the department.
- To prepare statistical report as required, in a timely manner.
- To assist in job related assignment.
- To perform any other duties as and when required by the management.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Qualification is Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging
- Possess positive attitude
- Computer Literate
- Hardworking & Fast Learning
- Good Interpersonal and communication skill
