The Position…
The position on offer is a part-time radiographer position in their Epping day surgery facility. The main focus of the role will be to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patient & competently operating radiographic equipment, ensuring that high quality images are produced, whilst providing outstanding patient care. This role will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in the clinic to support patient management and ensure the efficient operation of imaging services.
- Conducting diagnostic procedures, including fluoroscopy & other radiographic techniques as required. This includes preparation & positioning of patients for examinations.
- Operating radiographic equipment with precision, ensuring to capture high-quality images.
- Providing excellent patient care, ensuring to explain procedures to the patients & answering any questions they may have.
- Adhering to safety protocols & radiation protection standards to minimise exposure for patients, staff and yourself. Further, ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations.
- Accurate documentation of patient information, examination details & imaging results in the electronic health records system.
- Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of patient records.
- Periodic operation & maintenance of radiographic equipment, performing routine checks & minor repairs as required.
- Collaborate & communicate effectively with medical & healthcare professionals, including physicians & nurses, in order to provide comprehensive patient care.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant certifications in radiographic procedures.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Radiographer (desirable). However, recent graduates will also be considered & are encouraged to apply.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate information coherently and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds and cultures.
- Good knowledge of safety protocols & radiation protection standards, as well as relevant health & safety regulations.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite.
