Summary

Assists radiographers in a hospital by preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring infection control during X-ray scans.

Radiography Assistant (1-yr contract, 3-rotating shifts)

As a Radiography Assistant, your responsibilities include:

1. Clinical Support

  • Clinical support & frontline service (e.g. receiveing and greeting patients from reception area)
  • To the radiographer in assisting to perform radiological examinations/x-ray.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the X-ray equipment and room to ensure compliance to infection control guidelines for patient safety
  • Assist Doctor and Radiographer in the examination room as chaperon
  • Explain radiographic procedures to patient and take care of patients before and after X-ray scans

2. Frontline Service

  • Greet and receive patients at reception area
  • Direct, accompany or assist patient on wheelchair to waiting areas/examination rooms in transfer of patient from wheelchair/trolley to x-ray couch

As a Radiography Assistant, you will be trained in:

  • Frontline Services Management - Excellence in Service & Patient Communication
  • Clinical Support for Radiography Patient Care Assistant
  • Workplace Safety and Health
  • Infection Control Guidelines

Requirements:

  • NITEC (Intermediate)/ ‘O’/’N’ Level and above
  • Equip with basic computer knowledge
  • Possess empathy and care towards patients
  • Responsible and a good team player
  • Able to perform rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
