Radiologic Information Systems Specialist (PACS)
Summary
Maintains and troubleshoots radiology imaging systems (PACS) at a military hospital, ensuring digital imaging devices, networks, and workstations operate correctly and securely.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Responsible for day-to-day functional operation of the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) equipment.
Manage the PACS equipment inventory, network resources, configurations of workstations and the related digital imaging modalities and peripherals.
Manage all/any application associated with PACS (Peer Review/Dictation System/Terarecon/Radmetrics).
Schedule network backups and assign resources. Resolve network-related issues.
Prepare and conduct training classes for subspecialty clinicians on advanced imaging applications such as Ortho-Tools, and Advanced Visualization 3D Imaging.
Provide reports as needed by reviewing, analyzing, validating, and processing capability request documents for clinical systems that need to integrate into the tele radiology workflow solution.
