Help ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity by serving as a trusted expert in radiology, PET, and Nuclear Medicine coding and auditing.

At SimonMed Imaging, the Radiology Coding Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of coding operations across the organization. This role performs complex radiology coding, conducts quality assurance reviews, audits work completed by external coding partners and AI-assisted coding platforms, and identifies opportunities to improve coding accuracy, operational efficiency, and reimbursement outcomes.

You will collaborate with coding leadership, revenue cycle teams, vendors, and clinical partners to drive continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to industry standards, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. You're a Strong Fit If You Have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of recent radiology coding experience
  • Direct experience coding PET and/or Nuclear Medicine studies
  • CPC or RCC certification required
  • CPMA certification preferred
  • RCC-IR certification preferred
  • Experience conducting coding audits and quality assurance reviews
  • Experience reviewing and resolving coding denials and claim rejections
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and radiology reimbursement methodologies
  • Expertise in radiopharmaceutical/tracer coding, including HCPCS A-codes and Q-codes
  • Knowledge of dosage-based unit calculations and payer-specific requirements for PET and Nuclear Medicine services
  • Familiarity with Medicare NCD/LCD guidelines and medical necessity requirements
  • Experience working with outsourced coding partners or vendor review programs preferred
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding platforms such as Aideo and/or Gemini preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with coding, auditing, and revenue cycle technology platforms
