Position Overview
The Radiology Manager will oversee staff, manage staff schedules, maintain and monitor equipment, ensure patient and staff safety, optimize patient throughput for the radiology services provided by Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. The Radiology Manager will ensure compliance with various regulatory standards in healthcare and imaging.
THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.
Essential Tasks
The Radiology Manager works closely with the Director of Clinical Services and the Chief Medical Officer on the various aspects of managing the radiology services provided. The Radiology Manager is responsible for the short-term and long-term planning for staffing, image quality, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance.
Image Quality - Oversee quality of images produced by Radiology Technician(s) and Mammography Technologist. Minimize errors so that patient radiation exposure is minimized and safety is ensured. Prepare and adhere to action plans if corrective steps are needed. Plan professional development and training to Radiology Technician(s) and Mammography Technologist in order to maintain adherence to acceptable image quality. Coordinates with CFHC, Inc.’s Chief Medical Officer and the radiologist groups that read the images to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of the reports.
Administrative Tasks – Responsible for hiring Radiology Technician(s), as per the needs of the department. Manages staff schedules, track and develop departmental goals and operational targets, and ensure proper execution of all protocols. In charge of developing and updating protocols, policies and procedures for the department to be approved by the responsible CIT committee.
Equipment Oversight, Maintenance and Training - Proactively work with equipment manufacturers to maintain and service equipment, purchase parts and advice on acquisition of new equipment when necessary. Ensure proper in-services are scheduled for staff training on proper use of machines. Support and help troubleshoot issues that may arise regarding equipment and offer technical assistance to staff when needed.
Technology Cooperation- Works with the IT and HIT departments to ensure the images are properly transferred and stored in the Electronic Health Record system.
Operational Tasks - Ensure day-to-day operations are followed by staff regarding safety standards, checking quality of images produced by Radiology Technician(s), guide operations of machines within the radiology department, and ensure the radiology department performs efficiently.
Experience and Education
  • Graduate from a radiography program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). MQSA required education.
  • One year of healthcare operations supervisory experience is preferred. Three years’ experience in the field is acceptable. Experience as a technical administrator for EHR, PACS, and dictation systems in a clinical setting is preferred.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
8-hour shift, day shift
Physical Requirements
  • Potential sitting or standing for long periods of time, occasional bending, stooping, lifting including of patients, reaching forward and overhead. Proper lifting techniques required.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day.
  • Frequent computer work required.
  • Must be able to travel freely in the local area; between clinics, hospitals, health departments, etc.

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Mammography (ARRT)(M).

Base Pay Overview
The starting pay for this position is $68,640.00 annually. Please keep in mind that actual salary will vary based on various factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
