Rail Power - Technician
Summary
Maintains and repairs Singapore’s North East Line overhead cabling and DC traction power systems to keep trains running safely and reliably.
Primary Objectives of Position
- Operation and maintenance of NEL OCS and DC traction power equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and availability to meet operational requirements
Major Responsibilities
- Carry out on routine preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works for NEL OCS system
- Ensure work carried out are in accordance with work instructions and procedures
- Responsible for maintaining system and update work records
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors
Specific Safety Responsibilities
- To enforce Departmental Work Instructions and all Rail related safety rules and procedures
- Responsible for the safety of departmental staff, related contractors and others working on the Electrical Power distribution & OCS system in the MRT premises

Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- NITEC in Electrical Technology or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- Preferably with relevant working experience in maintenance of HV and DC traction equipment.
Knowledge/Skills
- Good interpersonal skill
