The Role:

Support the development of Men's and Women's Leather Goods collections from initial research through to production approval. Ensure the timely progression of the development process in line with the critical path, while maintaining accurate raw material data and supporting cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development and Sampling teams to ensure a smooth and efficient handover of raw material data.
  • Create and maintain seasonal development trackers, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information is available to all cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with the Design team to research and source materials for new seasonal developments, presenting relevant findings in line with critical path deadlines.
  • Utilise technical knowledge to identify and source materials that meet design requirements while aligning with brand quality and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate the launch of seasonal material developments and manage the process with external suppliers and stakeholders. Oversee the receipt, organisation, and dispatch of all raw materials for the Raw Materials team.
  • Develop and maintain seasonal material boards, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and effectively communicated.
  • Collate CAD data with appropriate specifications, working closely with Quality team to ensure timely completion of all Hardware Developments
  • Support the Raw Materials Manager and Quality team in reviewing and approving seal samples and hardware specifications to ensure production meets required quality standards.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of collections by ensuring material development activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while working to critical path deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across Design, Product Development, Quality, Sampling and external suppliers.
  • Basic understanding of raw materials, product development and manufacturing processes within fashion or leather goods, with a willingness to learn.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and comfortable working with product data, specifications and PLM systems (or similar databases).
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a collaborative approach and an interest in luxury product development, quality standards and responsible sourcing.
