Raw Materials Buyer

The Raw Material Buyer is responsible for purchasing activity for Raw Material in NA. The responsibilities include supplier negotiations, sourcing on time and to target, driving annual cost savings activities, managing day to day operations and execution of global commodity strategies.

The core responsibilities of the Raw Material Buyer are the development, ownership and execution of full life-cycle commodity strategies which include but are not limited to:

• Lead all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and internal customers, including sourcing process
• Manage flat Raw Material and primary/secondary Raw Material purchasing commodity
• Drive clear next steps for the Global Commodity Strategy, for flat Raw Material and primary/secondary Raw Material, supporting Stellantis 2030 Dare Forward Goals
• Bench-marking Raw Material suppliers
• Cost Management
• Purchase order issuance/maintenance
• Ensure raw material suppliers are able to produce material, and meet SOP and plant material requirements (supply/delivery)
• Lead on Raw Material related items with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Resolve raw material Raw Material shortage concerns and commercial disputes
• Ensure all Raw Material suppliers are up to date on their EcoVadis Assessment and have signed the most recent GRPG
• Leverage AI, analytics, and digital tools to identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual purchasing processes, improve cycle time, reduce rework, and create measurable efficiencies across sourcing, supplier management, cost tracking, and purchase order activities
