Learnership Opportunity: Short-Term Insurance

Locations: Cape Town, Gqeberha, and Johannesburg
Qualification: NQF5 in Short-Term Insurance
Workplace experience: Underwriting and Claims

As part of our commitment to employment equity and skills development, RBS Insurance Brokers is offering a learnership exclusively for persons with disabilities who are ready to kickstart a career in the insurance industry. This is an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while completing a recognised qualification.

What the programme involves:

  • A structured learnership combining theoretical study with practical workplace experience
  • Hands-on exposure to underwriting and claims processes
  • Working alongside experienced professionals to build your skills and knowledge in the insurance sector

Requirements:

  • Be a person with a disability (as defined under the Employment Equity Act)
  • Aged 18–35
  • Currently unemployed
  • Passed matric with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (40%+) and English Home Language or First Additional Language (40%+)
  • Have not participated in an INSETA learnership in the past 18 months
  • Based in Cape Town, Gqeberha, or Johannesburg

What we offer:

  • A recognised NQF5 qualification in Short-Term Insurance
