React / Java Developer

Salary: No contractor fees / two pay runs per week

Contract to 30/06/2027 plus 12 month extension| Brisbane CBD, QLD | Hybrid working

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit a React/Java developer. In this role, you will undertake enhancements to the existing inhouse Road Operations Asset Register (ROAR).

Key Responsibilities

• Review the existing code, architecture, dependencies and deployment arrangements.

• Deliver enhancements to the ROAR application to support business requirements and new interfaces with other systems.

• Assess technology uplift options and implement the agreed compatible target.

• Develop automated tests and support integration, regression and user acceptance testing.

• Support deployment, defect resolution and operational handover.

• Maintain clear technical documentation and identify scope, compatibility and delivery risks.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in application development, specifically working with React, JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, Oracle, IBM Websphere

• IBM WebSphere application deployment and troubleshooting

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Ability to investigate unfamiliar code and implement changes without disrupting essential existing behaviour.

• API development and integration with other systems

• Experience with Oracle cloud SQL and PL/SQL code

• Enterprise security and access-control requirements
