React UI Developer

Duration: 1 year contract subject to renewal

Location: East of Singapore

• Develop reusable and composable React components to be used across platforms
• Analyze and interpret business and design requirements into functional and development specifications
• Provide standards, best practices and architecture recommendations

Required skills:

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels – business, product, design, and development
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals, HTML, and CSS
• Proficient in UI testing
• Proficient in one or more frontend view libraries such as ReactJS, VueJS, Angular (4 and above)
• Experience in npm package publishing
• Experience in native application development, PWA or hybrid app development
• Experience in creating accessible UI for users using screen readers or assistive technology
• A knack for visual design

Good to have:

• Experience in UI design, wireframes and mockups
• Experience with modern web build tools such as Vite, Rsbuild, Webpack, Snowpack, Rollup, Parcel, tsc, esbuild, etc.
• Experience with CSS libraries such as Tailwind, PandaCSS, StyleX, styled-components, SASS/SCSS, LESS, or PostCSS
• Experience using analytics libraries such as Adobe Analytics or Omniture
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Contributions to open-source projects

Drive regional delivery of a large-scale micro-frontend platform (React/TypeScript, Module Federation) serving multiple channels and regions from a shared codebase. Act as a standards-setter across a large, distributed engineering team, not just an individual contributor.

Core Requirements

• Expert-level React and TypeScript, with strong command of type-system design and rendering/performance fundamentals
• Proven experience with micro-frontend architecture (Module Federation or equivalent) at production scale
• Track record of defining and enforcing engineering standards adopted across multiple teams
• Experience building shared SDKs, libraries, or platform contracts consumed by many downstream consumers
• Familiarity with multi-region/multi-channel product delivery, balancing shared core code against local configuration
• Working knowledge of modern build tooling (Webpack/Rspack/Rsbuild or similar)

Preferred

• Exposure to frontend observability/instrumentation (performance monitoring, error tracking)
• Security awareness relevant to enterprise/banking frontends (CSP, cross-origin script loading)

Working Style

• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a large enterprise environment with existing compliance and CI/CD constraints
• Able to author technical specs/guidelines that senior peers will adopt
• Collaborative across regional teams, not purely solo execution focused
