Ready Mix Driver (52195)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Daily perform a pre and post-trip safety check (walk around inspection) on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required
• Fill fuel and water tanks. Record fuel and milage
• Back or drive truck under loading hopper, prepare mixer to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer. Follow established guidelines and instructions
• Drives truck to designated job site for unloading. Deliver and unload concrete support products as needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at the job site, in traffic, and throughout plant areas. Communicate information by use of the radio.
• Assembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truck. Controls appropriate levers on truck to discharge concrete according to specifications from the contractor into a conveying device or directly into forms.
• Clean truck after unloading and prepare truck for return to plant.
• Replace chutes on truck and make certain everything is secure and safe for travel.
• Maintain functionality and appearance of truck and equipment using truck cleaning compounds and wearing PPE according to company policy
• Refer customer complaints, equipment problems, job site concerns, traffic problems and product concerns to supervisor.
• Record information as directed on shipping tickets, equipment logs, timecards and other assigned records
