Ready Mix Driver

- Operate the mixer truck to load and unload the ready-mix concrete to the correct pour site.
- Ensure that all loads are the correct mix, slump and quantity for each pour site. Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each trip to identify any necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of ready-mix concrete
- Maintain communication with the batch operators of your status to get loaded and the correct plant to load at.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and ensuring the truck is safe for operation
- Keep the truck clean, remove any concrete build-up and wash out the mixer at the end of every shift.
- Report any incidents, accidents or breakdowns to management immediately
- Check the quality of ready-mix concrete before and during delivery, and adjust the mix as needed
- Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, etc on truck and equipment before starting. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily or as needed, equipment should be kept clean and maintained.
- Keep driver’s license and required CDL and all endorsements current. Notify supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
- Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
- As requested by management, employees must be willing to work extra hours and days up to the limit permissible by the General Contractors site.
- The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, etc on truck and equipment before starting. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily or as needed, equipment should be kept clean and maintained. Report hauling equipment operation trouble to management immediately.
- Keep driver’s license and required CDL and all endorsements current. Notify supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
- Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
- As requested by management, employees must be willing to work extra hours and days up to the limit permissible DOT limits.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop and kneel.
- The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
