Real Estate Legal Manager

At Corporate Properties of the Americas (CPA), we promote diversity and equal opportunity. With more than 30 years of experience in industrial real estate, we are looking for a Real Estate Legal Manager to provide legal support across acquisitions, financing transactions and development projects.

Objective

Lead and support complex industrial real estate transactions, from legal due diligence and feasibility assessment through negotiation and closing, ensuring risks are identified and business objectives are protected.

Responsibilities

Real Estate Transactions and Acquisitions

• Participate in industrial real estate and land acquisitions from due diligence through closing.
• Draft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and other transaction documents.
• Review titles, deeds, permits, licenses and other property documentation.
• Identify legal risks and recommend practical solutions to support successful transactions.
• Coordinate transaction requirements with internal teams, external counsel and counterparties.

Real Estate Financing

• Participate directly in the negotiation and documentation of real estate financing transactions.
• Draft and review credit agreements, guarantees, trusts and related documents.
• Coordinate with financial institutions, external counsel and internal leadership throughout negotiation and closing.
• Support due diligence and closing requirements for financed assets and portfolios.

Development and Legal Feasibility

• Assess the legal and regulatory feasibility of land acquisitions and development projects.
• Review land use requirements, permits, licenses, utilities and infrastructure feasibility.
• Identify legal matters that may affect the acquisition or development of industrial properties.
• Coordinate legal matters with government authorities, external counsel and technical teams.
• Provide legal guidance throughout the development process.

Profile

• Law degree.
• At least 10 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years focused on industrial real estate.
• Experience in industrial real estate developers, investment platforms, law firms or similar environments.
• Experience in land acquisitions, with a strong background in real estate transactions, financing and development.
• Experience working with financial institutions, government authorities, external counsel and internal decision-makers.
• Advanced English - C1 level.

• Legal due diligence for land and industrial property acquisitions.
• Purchase and sale agreements, credit agreements, guarantees and trusts.
• Real estate development, permits, licenses, land use and infrastructure feasibility.
• Negotiation and closing of complex real estate transactions.
