Real Property Specialist

This vacancy is for a GS-1170-12, Real Property Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, FACILITIES DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION CENTER in NORFOLK, Virginia.

You will serve as a Real Property Specialist and be responsible for the proper management and archiving of documentation supporting all acquisitions, modifications, and disposals of real property. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Manage, execute, and oversee real property inventory programs, incorporating knowledge of related financial, construction, and acquisition processes. Maintains accurate real property inventory utilizing relational databases, Geospatial Information Services (GIS), Coast Guard Finance Center (FINCEN) Fixed Asset software, and Microsoft applications. Evaluates and manages complex construction and real property to validate asset data, verify in-service and divestiture dates, and reconcile associated costs. Executes physical and virtual inventories, certifying changes and ensuring the absolute accuracy, completeness, and auditability of all real property data. Direct facility condition assessments, funding certification approvals, project management data updates, and real property accounting throughout the project lifecycle.
