Realty Specialist

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and-operated manufacturing center located in New York.

Performs administrative duties such as: gathers and reviews a variety of narrative and/or statistical data to prepare reports; conducts analyses of data to support conclusions or recommendations for action.

The employee plans and carries out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in the work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices in the occupation.

The employee uses judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines, such as agency policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions, for application to specific cases or problems. The employee analyzes results and recommends changes.

Initiates, coordinates, staffs and documents approval of appropriate documentation for the acquisition of land interest to include leased space permits, rights-of-way, rights-of-entry, leases and licenses from various sources.

Responsible for managing, classifying and analyzing the utilization of real property to obtain its highest and best use and for preparing appropriate space utilization reports.
