This Realty Specialist position is located in the Real Estate Management Division (REMD),Facilities and Administration (FA), Mission Support (MS) , Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Serves as Realty Specialist for activities across the entire real estate acquisition process for the Real Estate Management Division. Supports new and innovative realty approaches, methodologies, and techniques; and may act as a leader to define and direct challenging projects / programs / activities Analyzes and evaluates pertinent real estate information that supports acquisition. Applies trained knowledge of real property acquisition principles, concepts, regulations, practices, analytical methods, and techniques; and may serve as the TSA agency advocate or principal point of contact for projects / programs / activities. Prepares documentation to support legal counsel in applying remedies available in real estate transactions. Negotiates interest in real property, modifications to existing contracts and renegotiates leases, renewals, or succeeding lease agreements. The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band (H Band) perform the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex.
You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National. You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application. You must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI). Selective Service registration is required. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. H band requirements: Must have a current FAC-C (Professional) or DAWIA Level I or current GSA Lease Contracting Officer (LCO) equivalent Certification. A copy of your current certification is required for the application process. Must have at least 4 years of progressive contracting experience, with the ability to obtain a TSA Level 1 warrant, within 12 months upon appointment. I band requirements: Must have a current FAC-C (Professional) or DAWIA Level II or III current GSA Lease Contracting Officer (LCO) equivalent Certification. A copy of your current certification is required for the application process. Must have at least 6 years of progressive contracting experience, with the ability to obtain a TSA Level 2 Intermediate warrant within 12 months upon appointment.
