Summary
Handles daily receipt, inspection, and documentation of goods for a hotel, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper storage while coordinating with suppliers and departments.
- Receive and inspect all goods delivered to the hotel.
- Verify that deliveries match purchase orders and purchase requisitions in terms of quantity, quality, and specifications.
- Check the weight, condition, and quality of all products before they are accepted into storage.
- Record and report incomplete, delayed, damaged, or incorrect deliveries.
- Maintain accurate receiving records, delivery reports, invoices, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all invoices and official receiving documents are properly completed and approved.
- Coordinate the transfer of received goods to the appropriate storage or operating departments.
- Prepare daily receiving reports and submit documentation to the Accounting Department.
- Assist with daily, weekly, and month-end inventory activities.
- Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Ensure the proper use and care of company equipment.
- Work closely with hotel departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Provide professional and courteous service to employees, suppliers, and guests.
- Previous experience in goods receiving, warehouse operations, purchasing, or hotel logistics is preferred.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or purchasing systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control, receiving procedures, and workplace health and safety practices.
