Job Description:

Processes proof of delivery (POD) documents as required. Manifests delivery tickets with special attention to all surgical departments. Manages the sorting and routing of supplies and packages to appropriate destinations. Contacts vendors regarding overages, shortages, and damages, providing necessary documentation to resolve issues. Receives, counts, and signs for merchandise when necessary. Ensures all refrigerated and frozen items are delivered on the same day. Checks in all morning deliveries and prepares them for delivery to departments before 1:00 PM. Maintains flexibility in schedules and work assignments. Promotes teamwork and acts as a team player. Returns repairs and goods when necessary. Demonstrates core values of integrity, compassion, balance, excellence, stewardship, and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various backgrounds. [Required]
  • A self-starter that can budget time and activities as needed to accomplish the task at hand. [Required]
  • Ability to identify, sort items, count accurately, and use correct unit of measure. [Required]
  • Ability to read and write English, with good computer and typing skills. [Required]
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with Hospital departments. [Required]
  • Ability to work under pressure and organize work. [Required]
  • Courteous and able to follow a schedule and instructions. [Required]
