The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Serves as the principal advisor and consultant to the IRS Chief Privacy Officer on policy, operational and transactional matters related to the area of records management. Serves as agency senior level records policy expert responsible for planning, scheduling, directing and conducting comprehensive long-range projects and studies of broad functional areas of IRS involving major problems in creation, maintenance, use, disposition, preservation and retrieval of records. Develops and oversees the creation of authoritative policies, procedures and standards for the IRS Records and Information Management (RIM) Program servicewide by using full delegated authority. Plans, administers, establishes, prioritizes and coordinates major records and information management program areas throughout the IRS. Reviews, inspects and evaluates servicewide program design, operations and controls over the creation, organization, maintenance, use, evaluation, preservation, disposition and audit of the IRS's electronic, paper and other records. Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position. Government Credit Card - Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel. Security Clearance - Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
