π― Position Summary
The Recreation Specialist supports the delivery of a comprehensive recreation program designed to promote student engagement, health, wellness, creativity, teamwork, and leadership development. This role provides supervision, coordinates activities, and helps create a safe and positive environment where students can thrive.
π Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support structured recreation events and activities that promote physical, creative, and social development.
- Plan and facilitate recreation and leadership programs in collaboration with Center departments and community resources.
- Support evening programming and student engagement activities.
- Supervise students while promoting safety, respect, accountability, and positive behavior.
- Maintain accurate student participation records and required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, program requirements, and student accountability standards.
- Maintain recreation equipment, supplies, and facilities, including inventory tracking and organization.
- Recommend equipment purchases and complete minor equipment repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming recreation environment.
- Plan, prioritize, and complete assignments effectively while meeting program goals.
- Mentor and model Career Success Standards by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and leadership.
