Lifeguard at Fort Polk’s aquatics facility, ensuring pool safety, responding to emergencies, and assisting with swim lessons and pool maintenance.
This position is located at Aquatics, Fort Polk, Louisiana. Join our team at Fort Polk-home of the Joint Readiness Training Center. DFMWR integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services enabling readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army. This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis.
Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests. Responsible for life-guarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility.
Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required.
Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020 and assisting with American Red Cross swim lessons as an Aide.
Assists in maintaining pool, and area clean and free from any hazards. Performs periodic water tests and reports results to the pool leader on duty. Provides information to swimmers regarding safety/health/admission rules and procedures.
Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. And other duties assigned.
