Full-Time Recreation-Aquatics & Safety Manager

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating aquatic operations at Woodstock Water Works and Woodstock Recreation Center. The position ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable aquatic facility operations and supervises assigned part-time, seasonal, and contractual personnel.
The Aquatics and Safety Manager also coordinates department-wide safety and risk-management activities across all recreational facilities, programs, and services; serves as the Recreation Department's representative on Citywide safety initiatives; and recommends policies, procedures, training, and corrective actions to reduce risk.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in recreation management, aquatic management, risk management or
closely related field with a minimum of one year of recreation management experience; or
any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills
and abilities. - A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record required to be
eligible for coverage under the City's vehicle insurance policy. - Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) required within six months of hire and kept in good
standing. - American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Trainer required
within six months of hire. - CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) is highly desired.

Salary & Benefits
SALARY:
The annual salary range for this salaried/exempt position is $67,539.76 (Minimum) to $91,187.20 (Maximum) based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. A very competitive group benefits package is offered along with an Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension included.
