Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) NF-02

This position is located at Pililaau Army Recreation Center (PARC), Waianae, Hawaii (Island of Oahu). Incentives and Bonuses. Incentives will not be paid. Serves as lifeguard for a waterfront property and works under the direction of the Installation Program Manager and head lifeguard.

Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as trained, and responds to medical emergencies throughout the property. Employs safety rules and rescue techniques for the protection of the waterfront guests.

Provides information to swimmers regarding safety rules and procedures. Tactfully warns patrons who repeatedly disregard safety rules and follows facility Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020. Attends waterfront and/or safety training as directed.

Assists in maintaining lifeguard tower and waterfront related equipment and supplies. Keeps area clean and free from any hazards. Maintains daily logs and records as required.
